The Arroyo Colorado Trail begins at Mckelvey Park where visitors can find additional amenities such as a playground and designated picnic areas, and ends just short of Dixieland Rd. It’s 10 ft. wide and 4.6 miles long. The trail connects 4 city parks and about 10 miles of off-road trails. Along the route, community members can encounter Harlingen Thicket, a 40-acre nature reserve known for birdwatching.
