Acerca del Estudio
El propósito de este estudio es evaluar la factibilidad de construir aproximadamente 20 millas del Sendero Bahía Grande. El Sendero es identificado como uno de los seis proyectos catalizadores como parte de 428 millas de Senderos de Caracara y la visión general del Lower Rio Grande Valley Active Transportation and Tourism Plan.
El Sendero tiene la intención de conectar el Palo Alto Battlefield National Historical Park y la unidad Bahía Grande del Laguna Atascosa Refugio Nacional de Vida Silvestre con la ciudad de Brownsville y otras comunidades en el condado de Cameron, Tejas, incluyendo las ciudades de Los Fresnos, Laguna Vista, Laguna Heights y Port Isabel.

About the Study
The purpose of this Study is to evaluate the feasibility of constructing approximately 20 miles of the Bahia Grande Trail. The Trail is identified as one of six catalyst projects as part of the 428-mile Caracara Trails network and overall vision of the Lower Rio Grande Valley Active Transportation and Tourism Plan.
The Trail intends to connect the Palo Alto Battlefield National Historical Park and the Bahia Grande unit of the Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge to the City of Brownsville and other communities in Cameron County, Texas, including the cities of Los Fresnos, Laguna Vista, Laguna Heights, and Port Isabel.
The Study will assess the feasibility of constructing the Bahia Grande Trail along the alignment proposed, and assess alternative alignments and their opportunities and constraints all based on environmental, engineering, economic, connectivity and social considerations.
