Belden Trail

Type of trail:

The Belden Trail is one of the shorter trails that is part of the CaraCara Trails located in the West of Brownsville. It opened on an abandoned Union Pacific Railroad that was formerly known as the St. Louis, Brownsville & Mexico Railway. On the east side of the trail, it passes by the Prax Orive Jr. Park, formerly the Sunrise Park, crossing Town Resaca where locals can see a variety of birds on the small lake. The trail also passes behind the bleachers of Sams Memorial Stadium, where football games from the Brownsville Independent School District schools have been since 1954.
